Eligibility, Costs, and Deadlines

Eligibility

We welcome applications from any faculty who feel they would benefit from the professional development offered by Project ACCCESS. Faculty teaching mathematics at a community or technical college or other associate degree-granting institutions may apply provided:

  • They have a master's degree or higher in mathematics, mathematics education or other related field with significant coursework in graduate-level mathematics, and
  • That the participant is a recent graduate with master or doctoral degrees, or adjunct faculty member who has moved into full-time positions. Preference will be given to faculty who are in their first four years of full-time teaching at this level.
  • They are not adjunct, part-time and full-time temporary faculty.

AMATYC Project ACCCESS will select the new cohort of about thirty participants for the upcoming school year in the summer following the deadline.

We estimate that the total institutional commitment will be approximately $2,000 spread over two fiscal years. Assurances of institutional support and eligibility are of critical importance in the acceptance process.
