    The presenters will share their experience in using a variety of activities found to be effective in engaging students in statistics.     **2001 INPUT Award Winner**, Integrating Mathlets into the Statistics Curriculum, Annie Y. Han, Borough of Manhattan Community College
    The presentation involves basing a first level college statistics course curriculum on currently available mathlets. Mathlets (mathematics applets) are platform-independent, web-based, small interactive teaching and learning tools. They enable students to participate in interactive student-centered activities and enhance learning through visualizations and experimentation.

    Two CRAFTY workshops were held in October 2000 and a national conference in May 2002. These meetings prompted dialogue on the mathematics needed for advanced technology programs.
