  1. Canadian Mathematical Electronic Services (CAMEL)
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) has entered into a joint project with the Center for Experimental and Constructive Mathematics (CECM) to initiate, develop and maintain the Canadian Mathematical Electronic Information Services (CaMEl). Its purpose is to elevate the status of the CMS on the Internet and to expand the electronic services available to Canadian research mathematicians, mathematics educators and students.
  2. Center for the Study of Mathematics Education
The Center is located in the School of Education at Nottingham University.
  3. Centre for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching
The Centre, established in 1986, is a focus for research and curriculum development in Mathematics teaching and learning, with the aim of unifying and enhancing mathematical progress in schools and colleges.
  4. Essential Elements of Cooperative Learning in the Classroom. ERIC Digest.
  5. Florida State University Math Website
Extensive links, categorized in broad categories especially interesting link to math education This collection of Mathematics-related resources is maintained by the Florida State University Department of Mathematics as a free service to the online community.
  6. Guide To Math & Science Reform
The Guide is funded by the Annenberg Foundation/Corporation for Public Broadcasting Elementary and High School Project for Mathematics and Science. Established in 1991 the Annenberg/CPB Math and Science Project funds media and communications-based educational reform efforts. The projects educate and support groups of adults who have a hand in changing the way math and science are taught, including families, teachers, teacher educators, administrators, and policy makers.
  7. Investigations In Number, Data, And Space
"The goal of this website is to support teachers who are implementing the text Investigations in Number, Data and Space in their classrooms. The site is also valuable for other educators and parents who need more information about this elementary mathematics program. Since this site is an open forum for teachers' and others' opinions and ideas, the views represented here do not necessarily represent the views of the site's collaborators. Our experience has shown that Investigations has the power to transform the way teachers teach and think about mathematics. But the road to transformation is not easy. This site is here to help."
  8. Math K-12 Curriculum
Site is "funded by the National Science Foundation to inform and assist schools and school districts as they select and implement standards-based mathematics curricula."
  9. Math Teacher Link - Professional Development
"Math Teacher Link is a website designed to deliver professional development opportunities and classroom resources to teachers of mathematics, statistics, and related subjects at the high school and lower division college levels."
  10. Mega Math
"Mathematics is a live science with new discoveries being made every day. The frontier of mathematics is an exciting place, where mathematicians experiment and play with creative and imaginative ideas. Many of these ideas are accessible to young children. Others (infinity is a good example) are ideas that have already piqued many children's curiosity, but their profound mathematical importance is not widely known or understood. The MegaMath project is intended to bring unusual and important mathematical ideas to elementary school classrooms so that young people and their teachers can think about them together."
  11. New Math Teachers:
Great sites for math teacher. This page was created to give new math teachers ideas and suggestions to help with their teaching. Links to Math history, multicultural math, general help, interdisciplinary ideas, amusements, and specific math topics.
  12. Spiral
SPIRAL is an Eisenhower-funded professional development program for K-12 pre-service and in-service teachers, administrators, and special needs instructors. The goal is to provide training in interdisciplinary content and technology and provide SPIRAL activities that integrate innovative technologies with inquiry and collaborative-based teaching strategies to strengthen science and mathematics instruction across gender, ethnic, age, and ability groups.
  13. Teacher Change
A collection of resources from the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse to help educators and professional development providers facilitate discussion and reflection on improving K-12 mathematics. The materials include professional development activities, TIMSS publications, articles about teacher change, and teacher narratives.
  14. TIMSS
The Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) and Third International Mathematics and Science Study-Repeat (TIMSS-R) are the result of the need in the American education community for reliable and timely data on the mathematics and science achievement of our students compared to that of students in other countries.
