Updates
for the Grants Corner
- Avoid some common mistakes when submitting an ATE grant
proposal. Please read the Proposal
Review Panel Report.
- At the National Science Foundation web site, www.nsf.gov,
there are many spots of interest to grant seekers. One of
the best one for us at two-year institutions is found by
going to the left hand column and choosing special programs
and then undergraduates. While some dates have passed, they
will most likely be the same for the coming year. The solicitations
do not generally change much. Listed below are just a few
in which members have been successful. However, there are
other programs and many of the newer ones involve more than
one discipline. Writing proposals in these will be great
professional development and networks will be formed with
colleagues in other areas of the college – a win-win
situation for you and your students.
- While the letter of intent is optional, it really is a
good idea to do one to help NSF with the review panel arrangements.
