The 35th Annual AMATYC Conference begins on Thursday, November 12, at the headquarters hotel, the legendary Riviera Hotel and Casino, located on the world famous Las Vegas strip.

A block of guest rooms at reduced rates has been reserved at the Riviera Hotel until October 21, 2009, or until AMATYC's room block is sold out, whichever comes first. Any unreserved rooms in the block will be released for sale to the general public after this date. So make your reservations early! Be sure to mention that you are attending the AMATYC Conference when making your reservation. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel at the numbers listed below or at the link on the AMATYC website, listed below. Please note that Saturday arrivals are not available at the conference rate.

All hotel rooms will require a deposit guarantee in the amount of the first night's room. All reservations made by a credit card will be confirmed immediately. If you do not check into the hotel on the first night of your reservation, your deposit will be forfeited and your reservation canceled. If you cancel your reservation after October 21, your deposit will be forfeited. If you find you must cancel your reservation, please make the cancellation at the earliest possible date to avoid losing your deposit.

In the event you check out of your guest room prior to the reserved checkout date, the Riviera Hotel and Casino will charge you one night's room and tax. You will be informed of this at check-in and can change your respective check-out date at the time of check-in, without charge. An early check-out after that time will then be charged one night's room and tax.

To help AMATYC keep your conference costs reasonable, be sure to mention that you are attending the AMATYC Conference when contacting the hotel. Rates cannot be changed at check-in or check-out for guests who fail to identify their affiliation at the time the reservation is requested.

Those wishing to share a room with one, two, or three other conference attendees should complete the Roommate Network Form no later than October 9, 2009. You should be notified, within two business days, that your request has been received. If you do not receive such an email acknowledgement, please contact Linda Kodama at Lkodama@hawaii.edu.

The process will involve putting you in touch with a colleague wishing to share a room. It will be up to you to finalize the arrangement and send an acknowledgement to Linda. Note: The roommate service does not make hotel reservations so it would be very helpful if you already have one, even if one of the roommates may have to process a cancellation!
