About the
Foundation
The Foundation for the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges is part of AMATYC, committed to promoting and supporting the purposes, goals, and projects of AMATYC. It was established by the AMATYC Executive Board in October 1990, incorporated in 1993, became a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt entity in October 1995. In 2004 the Foundation became an integral part of AMATYC.
An Invitation

AMATYC's vision is "Opening Doors Through Mathematics." We know you value this vision and the mathematics education offered in the first two years of college. Since 1974 AMATYC has been the single strongest voice for mathematics education in this increasingly important sector of higher education.

The AMATYC Foundation supports the advancement of AMATYC's vision and mission by increasing financial resources through development initiatives. Your contribution is valuable in following two very important ways. Your contribution facilitates achieving AMATYC's strategic priorities and goals. Intrinsically, your contribution validates the efforts of the many, many members who work on behalf of AMATYC and the profession in the past, present, and future.

Please take a minute to contribute financially to the AMATYC Foundation by submitting a donation that shows you care and want to participate. Thank you so much.

Mission Statement and Goals

The AMATYC Foundation raises funds to support the mission and goals of AMATYC. It helps provide financial resources to carry out some of the goals and activities of AMATYC and for special AMATYC projects. The AMATYC Foundation works to develop and provide a support network of corporate partners and mathematics education professionals.

The AMATYC Foundation solicits gifts from AMATYC members and other mathematics educators, corporations and foundations. In July 2008, the AMATYC Foundation Board adopted the Donor Bill of Rights as a statement regarding our commitment to ethical fundraising and gift stewardship.
